PolitiFact posted on JournalismJobs.com that it’s “seeking freelance researchers to help us moderate viral videos as part of our fact-checking relationship with TikTok,” adding “pay is a minimum of $30 per hour.”
Sojourners is accepting applications for the Sojourners Journalism Cohort, which it writes “is a part-time, five-month, remote training program designed to give early-career, non-white writers hands-on, paid training as freelance journalists.” Those selected “will be paid $400 per month, for a total of $2,000,” according to Sojourners. Apply by 5 p.m. today.
The California Health Equity Impact Fund “is designed for journalists who think big and want to make a difference by bringing untold stories to light about the systemic issues that stand in the way of good health for California families and communities,” according to USC Annenberg’s Center for Health Journalism. Those selected would receive a “$2,000-$10,000 grant to help with reporting costs” plus several months of mentorship. Apply by December 1.
