‘Digital content creators and journalists: How to be a trusted voice online’: The Knight Center for Journalism in the Americas is hosting a free course where students will learn “the skills to build audience trust, navigate the ethical responsibilities of shaping public opinion and create compelling content during conflicts and crises, all while promoting media and information literacy,” according to the course description.
The course, led by Salla-Rosa Leinonen and Enrique Anarte Lazo, starts today and runs through December 15.
‘Shameless self promotion for journalists’: Kat Duncan, Director of Innovation at the Reynolds Journalism Institute, shared details on LinkedIn about an upcoming session with Ken Schneck on November 22 at 11 a.m. CT where “he will teach you the basics of self-promotion, how to strengthen your elevator pitch and build confidence in the uniqueness of your output.”

‘Digging into telegram: Investigative techniques for journalists’: The Knight Center for Journalism in the Americas is hosting a workshop for $40 where students will learn to “navigate Telegram’s structure, locate critical information and leverage third-party tools to enhance research and reporting,” according to the session description.
The course, led by Jane Lytvynenko, takes place on November 20 at noon CT.
