💻 ‘Create a professional resume website that gets you jobs’: Phoebe Gavin, a life and career coach who recently worked as the Editorial Director of Growth at Quartz, explained in a video tutorial how to craft a plan for your website, pick a platform and build it out.

“Depending on what your goals are for your site, it doesn’t need to be elaborate or fancy... It can be very straightforward and simple and still accomplish the goals that you have for yourself and your career,” she said.

📝 ‘How we win our readers (and help them too)’: Bobby Blanchard, Texas Tribune Director of Audience, shared an excellent slide deck that he uses to explain the audience team’s work to new fellows. It’s chock full of great reminders, examples of how to tell stories across platforms and truly connect with and help the public.

“Follow the people, news orgs and stuff that inspire you,” he wrote. “And then take their good ideas and make them better.”
