👀 ‘Local journalism’s burnout crisis is unsustainable’: Elizabeth Djinis wrote for Poynter about recent studies and research on burnout in local news, who’s most likely to be impacted and approaches that could help the industry find solutions.
“The way I look at it, going into this field, it’s not one newsroom’s problem — it’s an industry problem,” an undergraduate student researcher said. “It’s a lot more likely to get solved.”
📈 ‘Covering the Jobs Report’: The Society for Advancing Business Editing and Writing (SABEW) scheduled a webinar for Wednesday at 1 p.m. it says will help journalists “better understand the data you can find within the jobs report, what to keep an eye on for a possible slowdown and how to tell a story of one of the most complex labor markets in many workers’ lifetimes.”
