🤖 ‘AI in Journalism Initiative’: The Online News Association announced it’s offering a series of trainings focused on the intersection of AI and journalism, ranging from prompt-writing to image creation to data. Sessions cost $25 or are free for members.
The first session — Introduction to AI Tools — is set for February 28 and “approaches AI with ‘cautious curiosity’ as we examine applications to save time and work while keeping in mind emerging ethical and legal concerns,” according to ONA.

newsletter multiple workshop dates, including one on February 15 at 4 p.m. ET where he writes he’ll “lead a deconstruction exercise of a longform narrative feature and give you tips on how to use those tools in your writing.” Tickets cost $20.Thanks for reading!

The Carter Center is accepting applications for the Rosalynn Carter Fellowships for Mental Health Journalism through April 12. “Selected U.S. fellows are awarded a $10,000 stipend and receive intensive training on mental health reporting,” according to a post on ONA.
The UC Berkeley School of Journalism posted on X, “We’re hiring journalism lecturers and teaching assistants for summer undergraduate journalism classes.”
USC Annenberg’s Center for Health Journalism is accepting applications for its National Fellowship through April 10. Fellows receive mentorship, workshops, “reporting grants of $2,000-$10,000” and more, according to the center’s website.
