💻 ‘Journalism job seekers feel the squeeze of the job market’: Sara Guaglione wrote for Digiday about how hiring has recently slowed at a few large digital media and tech companies, though there remains bright spots at others and in local news.

“Job postings to the site JournalismJobs.com continue to be ‘very robust,’ said Dan Rohn, who founded and runs the platform… Many postings on the site come from smaller newspapers around the country, Rohn noted. He has not noticed a ‘pull back at all’ from those publications.”

📝 ‘A survival guide for dealing with a bad boss’: Rachel Feintzeig wrote for The Wall Street Journal about “what to do when your boss is a micromanager, bully or completely MIA” and when you should consider finding a different role.

🌎 ‘How to cover the climate crisis — and fight disinformation’: The Knight Center for Journalism in the Americas is hosting another free MOOC where students will “learn about climate science and climate journalism, as well as efforts to fight disinformation that tries to undermine climate science.”

The course, led by John Schwartz, starts August 8 and runs through September 4.
