A resume writing workshop and how one company is responding to AI
Happy Monday! Skim for your weekly roundup of jobs, industry readings and resources.
‘Resumes that POP! Live pay-what-you-can workshop’: Career and leadership coach Phoebe Gavin is offering a workshop on Thursday, October 30, at 2 p.m. ET that “will help you craft an attention-grabbing resume that tells a compelling story about what makes you the best fit for the job you want.”
‘Why 1440 is evolving from a newsletter company to a destination of explainers’: Sara Guaglione wrote for Digiday about how “the company’s shift comes as the way readers find and consume information is changing, with AI products taking up more real estate in Google Search and AI platforms growing their user bases.”
‘Revenue 201: From surviving to thriving as a creator-journalist’: The Knight Center for Journalism in the Americas is hosting an online course in partnership with Project C where students will “learn how to professionalize your revenue operation, build systems that support growth and rethink the scarcity mindset that holds so many journalists back,” according to the Knight Center.
Liz Kelly Nelson and Blair Hickman teach the course that costs $135, starts November 3 and runs through December 7.
