Here are several news outlets hiring for multiple roles right now
The Guardian, Vox and New York Post all posted roles.
In addition to the steady stream of hiring at some big organizations, several large and small news outlets shared multiple job openings in recent weeks.
Here’s a rundown of some hiring moves with links back to outlets’ career pages where applicable.
The Guardian
The Guardian shared on a press release on October 8 that it “plans to expand its global soccer coverage ahead of 2026 men’s World Cup in North America.” This includes a “combination of seven new roles, including six in the U.S., spanning sports and business coverage, visuals, video and more.”
The U.S.-based positions include two soccer correspondents, a global sports business correspondent, a social video producer, a sports audience editor and an assistant sports editor, according to the release.

Deep South Today
Warwick Sabin, President & CEO of Deep South Today, shared an October 14 announcement on LinkedIn that his news organization “will create a new regional investigative reporting center in collaboration with The New York Times Local Investigations Fellowship.”
“The Deep South Today Investigative Reporting Center will launch in early 2026 with a lead investigative editor, dedicated full-time investigative and data reporters, and New York Times Local Investigations Fellows at Mississippi Today and Verite News New Orleans,” Sabin wrote. “It will also include support from Big Local News, a program at Stanford University that empowers journalists with data, tools and collaborations. As the Deep South Today network of newsrooms continues to grow, the Deep South Today Investigative Reporting Center will add capacity in its new newsrooms with dedicated reporters and fellows.”
